Data recovery from cell phone that no longer turns on

This mobile phone has an unusable charging connector and the mobile phone is now completely discharged. We opened it up and by soldering two cables directly to the motherboard we were able to boot it up and fully recover the customer data. We advised the customer not to repair the phone as the cost of the repair exceeded the cost of a new phone.
